  • How do you like the new forum?

Hi Kate,

There were a few reasons I was told which led to the forum closing. The closure of the FIGU Forums was decided 3-4 years ago, although the actual date was never finalized as I understood it. Last NOV the FIGU email servers were upgraded which led to problems with people receiving email notifications when posting. Also I was unable to accept new members. Additionally, I was informed that the FIGU Website is being upgraded which should be done by the end of 2023. Also there will be the addition of a type of compendium which allows members to ask questions, which then myself or someone will seek to find an answer. I am not sure how that will work, but thats the latest from Christian Frehner.

James, will members be able to post links to YouTube (FIGU related) channels even though not an official FIGU Channel?

    Scott That compendium sounds like a great idea to me. There is an encyclopedia category on the future of mankind website but it is incomplete. An official one would obviously be preferred and have fewer errors.

    Anyone can post anything on this forum and it will be immediately visible. Then it is up to moderators to remove spam/undesirable/totally unrelated posts/ban spammers etc.

      James Moore I'm in your time zone James. We can have a chat about it at some stage if you like and you can tell me what I have to do! 🙂

            Salome and thank you so much for this FIGU forum you have made and opened up to us. Really grateful to you for the Future of Mankind website and this forum. It looks great and does not hurt my eyes. I wish you a safe, healthy and peaceful now and always. 🙂

              LoJ Its already mobile friendly so there is no need for an app in my opinion.

                James Moore if the data from the forums can be sent i can convert them into an archive and keep it searchable.

                    Syn You could probably just as easily scrape it with a web crawler script/app.

                      Is it a good idea to add a system of internal message box of the forum so that we can join directly without passing by the mail (when we have it 🙂 ) or would it be too greedy in data for the server of the forum?

                      otherwise block at 10 messages per person only to not overload the server...!??

                            James Moore This forum seems a bit different than the traditional threads and then posts. I can see things getting very cluttered. Other than that I like it.

                            Oh, I just seen the side bar, which must be the threads.

                                Nice to see you joined this forum! 🙂

                                I used to listen to Contemplate Creation youtube channel until it closed down. I enjoyed your regular guest appearance and input there! I liked how they discussed/studied the Meier spiritual material there. A shame they decided to close it down.

                                  Its good to have a place thats permanent.
