Excited to Join New Forum – Proposal for a USA-Based Collaborative Wiki for Freely Available FIGU Information

Hallo everyone,
I’m glad to see the forums back online anew and active again. It’s a privilege to be part of this community of English-speaking truth-seekers, and I’m writing from the USA with a proposal I hope will resonate.
I’ve been thinking about the idea of cocreating a USA-based MediaWiki-style platform, similar in function to Future of Mankind, where we could collaborate on corrected English translations of the Contact Reports and other FIGU-related materials, while also providing space for research, context, and discussion. This wouldn’t aim to replace the existing sites, but rather to complement them—acting as both a collaborative workspace and a resilient backup mirror.
Why a USA-Based Alternative?
Easier access and lower latency for North American contributors and readers
Opportunity to have a community-driven editorial process for refining translations
A redundant mirror that safeguards against downtime
Visitor Statistics & Hosting Requirements
To scope what’s realistically needed, I looked into available public data:
futureofmankind.co.uk – ~542 unique daily visitors globally, ~39.8% from the USA (~215 U.S. visits/day, ~1,505/week, ~6,460/month)
theyflyblog.com – ~295 daily visits globally, ~29.2% from the USA (~85 U.S. visits/day, ~580/week, ~2,575/month)
theyfly.com – No public breakdown available, but traffic appears comparable or slightly higher than theyflyblog.com
These numbers show that the audience is passionate but not enormous, meaning we don’t need enterprise-grade infrastructure from day one. Even a modest VPS or home-hosted setup could handle the traffic, especially with caching and static-content optimizations.
Hosting Options We Could Explore
Cheap VPS Hosting
Ubuntu Server – Widely supported, beginner-friendly, quick to deploy, and ideal for MediaWiki.
Examples & starting prices (as of 2025):
Hetzner – from $4.50/month (2 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 20GB SSD)
Linode – from $5/month (1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, 25GB SSD)
DigitalOcean – from $6/month (1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, 25GB SSD)
Pros: High uptime (99.9%+), public IP included, can scale up later, low cost for global availability.
Cons: Small monthly fee, still requires basic server maintenance.
Self-Hosted at Home
Use an old PC or server running Ubuntu Server.
Pros: No hosting fees, full control over hardware/software.
Cons: Dependent on home internet’s upload speed, vulnerable to outages, requires port forwarding & firewall setup, ISP may limit server hosting.
Remote Access Model
Regardless of VPS or home hosting, we can allow trusted contributors to manage the server via:
SSH (secure command-line access)
Cockpit (web-based admin dashboard)
Web-based control panels (optional for those less comfortable with the terminal)
Hybrid Model
Main site on a cheap VPS for reliability
Keep a home-hosted mirror or backup for redundancy
Use cloud backups or a CDN to ensure fast recovery if the VPS ever goes down
Invitation to Collaborate
If anyone is interested in shaping this idea—whether through technical setup, translation, proofreading, or planning—please reach out.
Let’s build something meaningful together that honors the Lehre der Wahrheit, Lehre der Schöpfungsenergie, Lehre des Lebens and FIGU's work.
Warm regards,

Hi Kelsey,
I appreciate your enthusiasm for contributing to the FIGU mission in some way however I'm not sure that we need yet another collaboration website.
Surely this forum is a sufficient type of collaboration system where we can discuss ideas on how to contribute to the FIGU mission further. Does it lack a feature you have in mind?
Can you say more precisely what the goals of the new collaboration website would be?
As far as translations are concerned, I'm not aware of anyone else that is doing the translations into English, other than Joe from Malta. He recently let me know that he is taking a break for a while. I may take over his duties but am open to suggestions in that area. There are probably some translation tasks going on elsewhere around the world but I'm not aware of it. I'm not in close contact with FIGU HQ but I could ask CF.
To do the translations I would use Notepad++ to remove unnecessary new line characters, DeepL.com to translate with AI assistance, and
this web form that I just wrote to create the wiki mark-up for future Contact Reports.
Salome,
James

Hi, I hope this board turns into the next Figu Forum and stays around as long as that did.

Hi James,
Thanks again for your thoughtful reply—I really appreciate your openness and the work you’re doing to keep Future of Mankind and the forum active and organized. I completely understand your point about not wanting to fragment collaboration efforts, and I agree that the forum is a great place for discussion and coordination.
To clarify my intent: the idea behind a USA-based wiki isn’t to replace anything, but rather to serve as a redundant mirror and backup—especially for those accessing the material from North America. I thought a locally (USA) hosted version could help improve accessibility and resilience. It’s more of a technical curiosity and a way to ensure the information remains available even if one site goes down. Something I am considering for now and in to the future.
I’m also interested in making the original German texts more navigable, alongside corrected English translations. I know there are several translation efforts happening—You and Joe, Patrick McKnight’s site CreationalTruth, other small groups working together is the USA, FIGU Canada, and FIGU Australia. My hope was to cocreate a space where these could be indexed, compared, and discussed collaboratively, while respecting the source material and FIGU’s guidelines. Certainly no small project. The idea is to support the community and ensure timely access to new information, especially for those who rely on English translations.
I’m still learning the ropes of the forum, and I’m grateful for the chance to engage here. If others feel this idea has merit, I’d be happy to explore it further. If not, I’ll continue contributing here and supporting the mission however I can.

Kelsey we currently have 2 mirrors of FoM.
One is hosted in the USA by Solon Hinson and
the other is in Australia hosted by Carlos Hernandez. The mirrors are slightly out of date but I will reconnect their databases to my main database soon as they are supposed to be using MySQL replication to stay up to date. The files get synchronized by SCP file transfer multiple times per day.
These mirrors are available to people via links on the front page in the
Other Languages section.
I recently moved FoM to a new server in Moldova due to DMCA takedown requests sent by Jedi Reach to my then web hosting company in the UK demanding that I remove all references to his name in
Contact Reports 884,
885 and
886. My web hosting company then required me to comply or have the server shutdown (null routed actually which means disconnected from the Internet) even though DMCA is an American law not a UK law. We do have a
Defamation Act 2013 in the UK but I think that the information about him is exempt from removal because it is in "the public interest".
My new host in Moldova, AlexHost, ignores all DMCA takedown requests.
Another mirror is always welcome but 2 is enough in my opinion for now.
I also take regular backups as an additional precaution.

I had initially thought about setting up a mirror—that was the term I used—but I now know about the existing ones hosted by Solon Hinson and Carlos Hernandez and have bookmarked them. What I also meant was more of an alternative website: a complementary platform where contributors could collaborate more actively. Something that builds on FIGU's information foundation while enabling community-driven translation refinement, comparative indexing, and contextual research.
I’m new to a lot of technology lingo, so please bear with me. One idea I’ve been exploring is using AI to build a searchable index or catalog—I’m not sure what the proper term is, but something that would make it much easier to find specific information across the Contact Reports, Bulletins, Special Bulletins, and related materials. Even just organizing the content more intuitively could be a huge help for researchers and readers alike.
And maybe someday, if it becomes practical, we could even train a language model (LLM) on the FIGU data to assist with translation consistency, contextual understanding, or even answering questions based on the material. I know there would be challenges, especially with translation accuracy and philosophical nuance, but I think they could be overcome with care and collaboration.
Life is certainly busy enough these days, so I shared the idea to see whether others might be interested in collaborating on something like this—or if such efforts are already underway.
Also, I hadn’t heard about the Jedi Reach defamation complaint against FoM until now—that’s news to me. Someone once told me he may have issued a public apology, but I’ve never seen it myself or found any clear record of what was said or resolved. I still don’t understand how it escalated so far, or why he wouldn’t simply apologize openly and move forward during any misunderstandings. After all, he hasn’t provided any verifiable signs or evidence of credibility—especially compared to Billy, who has offered decades of physical evidence, documented contacts, and a lifetime of consistent work. It’s unfortunate when ego and confusion get in the way of truth-seeking. I don’t know enough about the Jedi Reach topic to form a strong opinion—only what I’ve read in the Contact Reports and now this current information. Regardless of past choices or current circumstances, anyone can decide—at any moment—to face the effective reality, embrace its truth, and behave like a decent, responsible person. That choice is always available.

Training an AI LLM to help with translation accuracy might not be necessary since deepl.com is an AI powered translation service and free to use already.
Keep up the ideas though. I welcome like to hear them all!
I had one earlier today: Star Trek's United Federation of Planets reminds me of the Plejaren Federation with their prime directive of non-interference with pre-warp civilisations. Perhaps there is a way we can attract a greater audience to investigate the FIGU information through some kind of comparison youtube video, x.com post or something else.

Hi James,
Not sure if this will be of any value to you, but I ran the contact reports through an AI API with the aim of creating social media posts. I was thinking about building some social media bots to create posts and interact with users and point people towards your website.
I thought it might be a way to spread the content further - wider.
I have a couple of thousand posts. Can see view them here:

I am happy to host another mirror from Australia. Just say the word

Hi Patrick,
How did you first hear about Billy Meier?

Hey Schantz,
Good question.
I think I first heard about it through a Michael Horn post on X. At the time I was new to X and was getting pumped by lots of UFO stuff, which I found intesting and easy to digest in a short format. However a couple of the things Michael mentioned about predictions made me want to explore further, which I did.
To be honest at the time I found the long format of the Contact Reports difficult to consume. It took a while before it all clicked and made sense. I enjoy the long format now, and furthermore enjoy the language used in the contact reports which fully articulates the intention of the message, but initially that was a barrier.
Hence why I think short catchy posts, leading to a funnel type setup where the user is eventually driven to the full contact reports could be effective. A but like the hubspot for truth seekers.
