  • Using AI to generate voice versions of articles

I used ElevenLabs AI voice generator to create this mp3: https://www.futureofmankind.co.uk/Billy_Meier/File:PhilosophyOfLife.mp3

Do you think it is high enough quality to be of use? It does not sound robotic to me.

I think it is worth converting all articles including contact reports into a voice version for those with poor eyesight and for when we simply prefer to give our eyes a break.

According to Piero a core group member, he and Billy recently tried out some AI voice generators but did not find any of them to be of good enough quality, or natural sounding enough you could say.

IPQ Yes I agree. Its one of the best quality voices available.

ElevenLabs' free option only allows one of these sized articles per month however.

If multiple people contributed we could do more for free.

James Moore Have you a donation/contribution account established for this or would it be the same as FOM website?

James Moore It would be wonderful if we could listen to content with Billy narrating, while driving 😊.

IPQ No need to send funding yet! I've just tried using a youtube video of him speaking with the Voice Cloning feature but the result was not very good. Probably because there was too much noise in the background. I will ask Billy for a clearer sample of his voice and experiment with it some more. I would also like to hear his voice while driving.

I sent Piero (CG member) an email:

        Hi Piero,

Have you tested the ElevenLabs voice synthesizer? https://beta.elevenlabs.io/speech-synthesis

I tested it and found it to be very good but not perfect.

A sample of an artificial voice used to narrate a Creation-energy teaching article : https://www.futureofmankind.co.uk/w/images/a/a1/PhilosophyOfLife.mp3

That website also has a "Voice Cloning" feature. With this feature and a 60 second long recording of Billy's voice, we can create a narrated version of all Creation energy-teaching articles, in Billy's voice.

I wonder, is there a recording of any Plejaren voices in Billy's possession please?

        Thanks and salome,
        James

James Moore I wish he would put Billy's photos in his videos or Figu symbol rather than some random picture of fruit or a plant. people don't really know what he's posting about cause he doesn't list the titles properly other than contact report People don't know what they're looking at.

Solon used to be a regular guest on the fairly popular Youtube channel "Contemplate Creation" which was about discussing Billy's spiritual teachings/books/material. But Youtube started giving that channel warning/strikes for content violations so they decided to close it themselves about a year or so ago now and move to another media platform. So not only are social media platforms clamping down on allowing people discuss the Meier material but also Figu now. And Figu's excuse that the reason they closed all forums down permanently was due to email notification problems and low posting numbers - "Consequently, due to the low volume of posts and lack of activity in the last few years, a decision was made to shut all the forums down." are unjustified reasons. There are so many reasons why that is totally wrong to do and I would have expected a lot more from Figu.

Hugo I agree, its not usually difficult to resolve email related technical problems. Nor is it difficult to continue hosting a forum. I don't understand their logic in this case. But perhaps there is more to it than we know.

Hugo Hi Hugo, I don't know all the reasons, but the email notification was part of it, also I could not approve any new forum members. I wasn't given any warning or advance notice this was in the works. As I mentioned also, the forum still works and there are many messages in the queue along with many requests for registration but I was told not too take any further actions...The English forum was by far the most active, so I don't know what is considered "low activity"...I have mixed feelings about it, because I was working on the forum for over 21 years which I thought would continue for at least another 10 years...but..🙂...I like the way James has set this up, and in some ways I wish some of these features were available on the FIGU Forums since the software has not been upgraded since 1999...

          Hi James and Scott,

Yes, I also think there could be more to it then what was given why Figu decided to close it, and if there is, then I would have expected Figu to tell us the real reason instead of little lies. As it stands, those two reasons they gave us are NO good reasons to close the forums. And the way they did it too (without even a formal post and apology on the forums) was cold behavior towards all the current active members. It makes me feel like they thought we didn't deserve a formal explanation/apology post explaining the shutdowns. Do they even know there are real people on the end of those member names? The whole thing sucks and as I said before I would have expected a lot more from Figu then what they did and the cold way they did it too.
